This stunning new coffee from Uganda is showcasing what we love so much about coffee from this region. Strawberries and cream in the cup with a thick body and sweet. 

Bukonzo Dream is a naturally processed coffee grown between 1,400 and 2,000 meters above sea level in Uganda's Rwenzori Mountains by between 300 and 500 smallholder farmers. This batch has been processed and exported by Agri Evolve, a socially responsible agribusiness company that has been supporting coffee farmers in the region with resources, training, and market access since 2016.

Agri Evolve faced challenges with trust when starting cherry purchasing in the Rwenzori area. Initially, building relationships with community leaders was key to building trust in their initiative. Over time, they gained access to more coffee in cherry form, allowing a better control quality by purchasing ripe coffee directly from farmers. 

Processing at the washing station in Kisinga gives control over the variables, thus creating 'Bukonzo Dream', a consistent premium coffee. This name pays homage to the Bakonzo tribe, who live in the Rwenzori Mountains, and reflects the vision of connecting these coffees with roasters and cafes.
